The Midhyaf programme has been formed with the purpose of contributing to the National Tourism Strategy 2040, providing a training platform that will assist Omanis to secure suitable employment within the tourism and hospitality sector.
Enrolment Conditions
- The applicant must be Omani (Male/Female)
- The applicant must hold a General Education Diploma, college/university Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree (depending on the discipline)
- The applicant must be registered as a jobseeker at the Ministry of Labour
- The applicant must not exceed 30 years of age
- The applicant should not have benefited from similar training programmes provided by Ministry of Labour
- Pass all essential tests and personal interviews
Our Objectives
To achieve our goal, our objectives encompass the following elements:
- Train 148 suitable Omani jobseekers to facilitate the development of their professional skills to kick-start their respective careers in the tourism and hospitality sector
- Build awareness to educate Omani youth on the prospects, and advantages of a career in the tourism and hospitality sector
- Establish a connection between the programme’s attainable outcomes and the tourism and hospitality sector’s market needs
- Contribute in increasing career opportunities for Omanis in the tourism and hospitality sector
- Offer tailor-made tourism, hospitality, and related programmes in collaborations with reputable international entities
