The Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) has welcomed a new cohort of 13 students to its flagship “Eidad” program, one of the Group’s key initiatives under its human capital development strategy #IAmTourism, designed to empower young Omanis and prepare them for careers in the tourism sector.
The program reflects OMRAN Group’s continued commitment to investing in human capital by equipping youth with the practical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the job market and explore promising career pathways. The new participants, who are still pursuing their academic studies at various educational institutions, joined the Group across a diverse range of disciplines, including Human Resources, Internal Audit, Governance and Risk, Corporate Communications, Information Technology, and Engineering. This diversity underlines the Group’s efforts to nurture young talent across fields that directly and indirectly support the tourism sector.
Commenting on the occasion, Ahmed Al Nakhili, Group Director of People at OMRAN Group, said: “Through our participation in this national program, we are contributing to building a new generation of skilled Omani talent capable of advancing the tourism sector with innovation and responsibility. At OMRAN Group, we remain committed to providing a stimulating professional environment based on global best practices in the management and development of hospitality assets, tourism destinations, and unique experiences — thereby strengthening the sector’s role in economic diversification.”
The “Eidad” program provides participants with practical training opportunities in a professional environment that connects their academic learning with real-world applications. It enables them to gain hands-on experience, explore innovative ideas, and apply them to support sector objectives and enhance sustainability.
Serving as a model of effective collaboration with national academic institutions, the program reinforces the added value of investing in Omani talent and highlights the pivotal role of youth in supporting the national economy in line with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040.
