OMRAN Group Concludes Strategic Participation at Arabian Travel Market 2025

Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) concluded its dynamic participation in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, which was hosted by the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 28th to May 1st, within the Sultanate of Oman’s official pavilion overseen by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. This participation demonstrated of the Group’s commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at promoting the tourism assets of the Sultanate of Oman and enhancing its presence on the international stage.

During its participation, OMRAN Group highlighted its portfolio of leading projects and its initiatives in the field of sustainable tourism, reflecting its role in supporting the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy and contributing to the achievement of economic diversification goals in accordance with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. The participation contributed to showcasing the strategic projects that the Group is developing and promoting the tourism products and experiences offered by the owned hotels and resorts, within the framework of efforts aimed at contributing to enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s position in the global travel and tourism markets.

On the sidelines of its participation, OMRAN Group announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Mohsin Haider Darwish Group to develop the ā€˜ALIĒ NIVAS’ resort—an exceptional addition to the evolving tourism landscape of Musandam Governorate. The Group also revealed that 16 of its hotels have been awarded the ā€˜Hotel Sustainability Basics’ verification by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), positioning OMRAN as the first hotel group in the Sultanate of Oman to achieve this esteemed global recognition.Ā 

In a move to bolster Omani tourism on the global stage, Visit Oman, a subsidiary of OMRAN Group, signed two strategic cooperation agreements with TBO Holidays and Trip.com. These partnerships aim to expand market reach and increase inbound tourism to the Sultanate by connecting Omani travel and tourism service providers with international trade partners in key source markets. As part of its commitment to nurturing national talent, 48 students from Oman Tourism College – also an OMRAN Group subsidiary – participated in ATM, gaining valuable exposure to global tourism stakeholders and engaging in workshops and panel sessions highlighting investment opportunities in the sector.

As part of the event, OMRAN Group participated in a dialogue session titled ‘Destination Development’ organized by the Resilience Council, which included a selection of leaders and officials in the tourism sector with the participation of the Group’s CEO. The session addressed perspectives on ways to achieve balanced and sustainable tourism development. In addition, the CEO participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Enhancing Competitiveness through the Circular Economy,’ during which he highlighted the Group’s commitment to adopting the principles of the circular economy in the development of tourism projects.

This participation demonstrates OMRAN Group’s keenness to move forward with its efforts to promote sustainable tourism development in the Sultanate of Oman, establish constructive international partnerships, and support the Sultanate of Oman’s ambitious vision towards building a thriving, integrated, and globally connected tourism sector.
