OMRAN Group and the Environment Authority Sign Investment Agreements to Develop Eco-Tourism Projects

As part of its vision to develop sustainable tourism destinations that enhance Oman’s position on the global tourism map, OMRAN Group signed investment agreements with the Environment Authority to develop several nature reserves across the Sultanate. These agreements aim to unlock the potential of Oman’s natural assets and transform them into distinctive tourism destinations.

The agreements cover the development, management, and operation of tourism projects within Ras Al Shajar Nature Reserve (Quriyat), the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary (Haima), the Wetlands Reserve (Mahout), and the Turtle Reserve (Ras Al Hadd). Additionally, usufruct contracts were signed with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for projects in Lagashilon and Hayour Overlook within Jabal Samhan Nature Reserve (Dhofar).

This strategic collaboration reflects OMRAN Group’s commitment to creating destinations that highlight the uniqueness of Oman’s natural environment, offering visitors immersive experiences that balance environmental conservation with tourism development.

These initiatives will diversify Oman’s tourism offerings while meeting global environmental standards and ensuring ecosystem sustainability.

The step also demonstrates OMRAN Group’s dedication to advancing sustainable ecotourism in close collaboration with national partners, particularly the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Environment Authority, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
